Mena Alexandra suvari born on February 13, 1979 in America, is an actor, fashion designer and a model. She started her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved into acting following appearances in television shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her film debut came in the 1997 drama film Nowhere. Through her roles on American Beauty - for which she was nominated to be awarded an award called a BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned much attention as she stepped into more prominent roles. In the following years, she starred on screen in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She also was a guest in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2005 as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, Suvari appeared in several movies such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model on behalf of Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's also been featured on a number of fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. She has been a strong activist and supporter of the African Medical and Research Foundation. Additionally, she is involved on issues of empowerment and empowerment for women and charities which promote research into breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
